Some call me an intellectual, others call me an athlete, hell I’ve even gotten diva. Though if I were to tell you who I am, who I really am, I’d say Serena. I’d clarify that to me, Serena means an amalgamation of things.
Through a milieu of passions and curiosities, at my core you will find a fondness for human connection. I’m a lover beyond the simple definition of the term. My love goes beyond the sheets, into our conversations about philosophy, and through our drunken laughter.
I believe myself to be a philanthropist, a giver of sorts. Beyond simple economic currency, time is my gift to the world and the communities within it. I invest time in academia, activism, and cultural collaboration. As I continue these pursuits (and discover new passions), I hope to join the ranks of human rights activists and philosophers around our globe.
Despite my “admirable” interests, I must also advocate for my vices and indulgences. While my investment in cultural collaboration stems from a place of community, I might also argue that the true root is a craving for delectable dishes. Whether it be warm Nigerian fufu, or tender and buttery wagyu, I am truly a sucker for a fine meal. Of course, my nourishment isn’t complete without a must be paired with an indulgent pour. The espresso martini, piña colada, and negroni are only a few of my favorites.
Humbly, I hope to ease your curiosities about my physique. While I can thank a gym membership and (relatively) healthy diet, the true answer is robust Caribbean genetics. Although there should be no reason to suspect the contrary, I am completely natural (and will stay as such). In the same vain, I welcome various suggestions to expand my active lifestyle, and I’m a sucker for a delicious but protein-rich meal.
with love,
serena
